I'm really good at blogging......

I just read my last 2-3 blogs and I must admit that I'm hilarious. A few things. Quit my job in May. Katie is leaving Key bank next Wednesday. I will start blogging more when that happens. She started a blog but I can't find it. The poker has gone okay. Hacker is kinda salty at me for a joke I made on the CPMG message board. Meh... I started drinking a cup of coffee again in the mornings. Helps with movements I think...damn't there I go again talking about poops. Okay.... I have to get back to playing Open Face Chinese Poker on my phone now. Ba bye

Vlogs and my neighbor....

I just found out my neighbor who I hear playing the piano all the time is a person by the name of Baby Dee....

From Wikipedia:

Personal life:
Born physically male, Baby Dee is transgender and identifies as a woman

Early career:
In the 1970s, Baby Dee began her musical career as a street performer, but soon decided to take work as an organist at a Catholic church in the Bronx. Ten years later, after Dee had began her transition into life as a woman, she left her job at the church and returned to her earlier occupation as a performance artist. She performed as an accordion-playing bilateral hermaphrodite in Coney Island leading to a stint as the bandleader for the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus. She also became known for a street act in which she played harp atop a high-rise tricycle in Manhattan.

I can't wait to meet her! I would love to learn how to play the piano, I wonder if she gives lessons?!?

I have to get going to watch the BCS national championship game but I will leave you with this. My co-worker Ron Cermak is always asking me for ideas on what we could do to get out of our day job. Business ideas and such...since most of my ideas are illegal Ron isn't all about it. I did offer this gem one time way back when. It was to create a YouTube channel and people would upload videos of themselves while taking a dump. Video blogs are called Vlogs, so my channel would be called poop vlogs or something like that. I was at work today doing some "paper work" so I decided to do a little BETA version and send to a few select friends. I won't post the video here but I will leave you with this screen shot.

All I do is win.....

This week at work was only 4 days but it went pretty well. Before holiday break and the 10 days off I was really burnt at my job. I was literally miserable the whole time. Some of this may have been because I had no vacation days since the end of June I think. I used all 20 days in the first 6 months of the year. I wasted a few days but also used some to go to Vegas for 10 days and Punta Cana for 7. Punta Cana's beach was really nice. Much better than Cancun, but I would say Cancun is still the better place to visit. This year Katie and I plan on going to Puerta Vallarta and Vegas. I went to Puerta Vallarta with some of my homeboys back in the day. It will be nice to go back with Katie.

So anyway, last night I hosted my usual poker game and it ran from about 7:20pm til 5am. Had over 20 players show up and it was an ok night. I managed to play 24 minutes and make $63. I'm awesome!

So I woke up around 10:30 and just laid in bed while Katie watched her 3000th episode on Investigation Discovery channel... I didn't get a chance to workout yesterday after work because of the poker game and people stopping by to do "business" before hand. So today I wanted to push myself a little harder and I managed to burn 600 calories in 40 minutes on the treadmill. There were definitely a few times where I wanted to quit but I pushed through the whole 40 minutes with no break. It's funny the thoughts and emotions you have while running in place for 40 minutes. One of the players at my poker game runs like 17 miles a day or something ridiculous....I wonder what's on his mind

After the workout I showered and Katie and I went to our usual massage place for 1 hour massages. I just got full body and Katie got deep tissue. The place was recommended by my good friend River Pete and it's definitely worth it. I do struggle with relaxing sometimes when getting massages. I've only had probably 8 ever and my thoughts are always the same in my head... "don't get a boner" and "don't fart" These 2 things are every man's favorite past times, especially while laying down in underwear....

So far I've managed to not have "it" move and I've kept my gas in my ass..

Speaking of sharting..... Terry sent me a lovely picture of his sharted tightie whitie undies that he made a mess in this afternoon..... The thought did strike me to take a picture of my camo undies but Katie wasn't having it. Remember I threw them in the garbage but garbage day wasn't till the next day. I thought about digging them out for a photo shoot but I'm glad and proud to say that I refrained.

Ok...it's Saturday. What to do? What to do? NFL playoffs are tonight. Maybe I can convince Katie to watch the game later. She is a New Orleans Saints lover so it's possible..

Stay cool but don't freeze

Out

Here is the song that I replay a lot...it keeps me motivated and moving. On the treadmill and during poker

Ice driveway fucker and morning breakfast sharts....

So this morning while taking the garbage out I walked on some ice and completely lost my feet and fell hard right on my back. It hurt... A lot...  Hopefully won't effect my working out etc etc.  This sucks because I had back pain all last year and it was finally feeling better. I had gone to the doctor and everything. Time will tell.

Before that terrible accident one of my favorite pair of underwear had to be thrown away....  While eating my Cheerios I totally sharted big time and my camo undies were a lost cause. Yesterday I made my self an Epsom salt cocktail (water and 2 teaspoons of Epsom salt) which in 1.5 hours will have you pissing out of your ass....

I got a little lax and forgot about possible after shocks... RIP camo undies....

Katie handled it well saying "I haven't laughed this hard in forever"

You're welcome....

Working out....ohhh the cliche....

I want to make it clear that I have worked out the last 3 days not because of some New Year resolution......but because I'm fat.

Katie, my young attractive girlfriend is my inspiration. She has so much discipline and will power. I could go on and on about how great she is but then she'd probably wise up and leave me so I'll just say that she's the love of my life.

Moving on....

So I weigh myself every morning and that's been fun. I'm a numbers guy. I like numbers. I like to see the changes in the numbers etc etc.

Since I hate blogging apparently (what? 5 blogs last year) maybe this will give me a reason to type up something every now and then.

Here are my weigh ins thus far

1/2 226.4
1/3 230.2
1/4 224.6

And I'm pretty sure I didn't even take a dump the last 3 days. I think I need to see a butt doctor soon.... TMI?

Thoughts, prayers etc etc going out to Tom Gross and his family. His brother Pete donated a kidney to his mother today....

What can one say about something that amazing? The obvious is that Pete just moved way up on the inheritance list....

Gonna have a small glass of delicious scotch now..... Katie bought me The Balvenie 21 year portwood for Christmas

It's amazing...I must have been a very good boy all year!

Later....

It's a $10 bill bonanza....

It has been exactly one month since my last post. It's amazing how much money I've saved over the course of the last month. I have yet to cash in my change but it has to be in the $50-$70 range and my $10 bills.....

Well, it has swollen from 3 to 30!!!

Yeah...that's like one spin of roulette but still.... :)

My June 2011 WSOP Vegas savings has begun!

Do I think I can get to $10,000 by saving all my change over the course of the next year? No. However, $10,000 is the goal, I'd settle for 3-4,000.

I think I'll take my change I throw in the bucket to the Coinstar every month or so and keep a running tally of my progress. I've also decided to put every $10 bill I get into the bucket. 3 already!!

WSOP

I cannot miss the WSOP again. WSOP is the World Series of Poker. I was out there last year and it was surreal. I really am having a hard time with missing it. I have a few friends that are out there now and I'm very jealous. I did go to Vegas in March but it's just not the same as during the WSOP.

I'm starting a separate savings account just for next years WSOP. I want to go for 2 weeks.

My goal is $10,000

We shall see.

Oh, I am going to Chicago 6/25 and then flying from there to Cancun 6/28 til 7/4

So I guess you shouldn't feel to bad for me on missing the WSOP.

Viva....

Las Vegas.

I am sooo in vacation mode already. I'm thinking about blowing off work tomorrow and I don't leave for Vegas til Monday evening. I return the following Tuesday morning. Should be an insane time. My boys Gross, Caveman, and Laidman will be there also. Laidman is driving in from L.A. Tuesday, Gross is flying in from Arizona and Caveman comes in St. Patty's day which is Wednesday.

I'm staying at Sahara for like $25 a night mon-thurs night and then probably MGM fri-sun night.

Should be a lot of fun and debauchery. I plan on giving a detailed report on here when I get back.

Later on kids...

The last week or so.

Just going to list some random things I did since the last update.

Went and saw Youth in Revolt. Was not very good in my opinion.

Spent lots of qt with kt....Was very very good in my opinion.

Ken did more work on my Blazer, which hit 200,000 miles also. It's running like it's new. Thanks Ken.

Lost $184 at cash game I hosted Wednesday.

Broke even at Dave's cash game Saturday.

Finally have DVR so I'm taping like every show you can think of. American Idol is always fun to watch during the auditions. It's sad that Simon is done after this year though. I'm sure he'll be just as good though on his new show X factor.

I have been working a lot of overtime. Actually worked both weekend days last weekend. Gotta make it while I'm young, right?

Well...thinking about heading down to Nautica to play some poker. I have not been there for like 3 months. Not sure why...I'm up about 7k at that place.

Ken did a hell of a job fixing my blazer.

Sunday Funday

First off let me say that this weather sucks.

So with my car still being out of commission Gross picked me up around 1 and we went to Cleats to watch football. I'm not a big fan of Cleats. Their food is not good and my ex works there. My ex and I get along just fine but it can be weird at times. River Pete came up which was nice. Petes is always fun to hang with and his NY resolution is to go out more, stay up late, and "live life". I told him that's good but it sounds expensive. :)

So after having some food and drinks and watching NFL til about 6 Gross dropped me off and I just chilled til Katie came over around 6:45. We hung out for a minute and then jumped in her car and went and rented the movie 500 days of Summer. It was ok. She really liked it though. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but it wouldn't be a total wasted of time to watch it. After the movie I made her watch Pro Wrestling Ohio (PWO). PWO is so awful that its awesome. We actually know the main wrestler so it was cool to see him on tv and all that doing his thing.

After that we just laid around and she took off around 1. I took a vacation day today and I'm about to go pull the drive shaft out of my vehicle and get it ready for towing later...wish me luck

Lazy Saturday?

Saturday was a fun day. Katie came over and picked me up and helped me run some errands. Needed to get some parts for my vehicle. It is on its last leg for sure. U-Joint busted and drive shaft is hanging down. Called some towing companies and looks like it will be $50 to tow it to my friend Ken's shop to be fixed.

Katie and I went to Chipotle, Giant Eagle, Auto Zone and Ambiance. :)

Then we hung out at home and watched a movie that was boring her so we moved on upstairs for less boring activities.

So with my vehicle down I've scheduled a vacation day already for tomorrow and Terry K had to pick me up and drive me to the poker game out in Lorain. I really enjoy my time with Terry. He really knows how to carry a conversation and it was interesting learning about his job and other details of his life. His mother has been ill so I'll say a little prayer for him and his family today also. Tourney didn't go great but I played ok. Cash game was fun and I won $66 after being stuck most the night. Had some crazy hands for sure. Put some awful beats on my boy Petes. Late in the night I just abused Grayday to no end. It was classic. I have a way of busting balls but still being lovable. :)

Today my boy Gross is picking me up and we are going to go watch the football... Pete will be there and I'm not sure who else.

I made 4 bets online but for only $5 per bet. I know I can't win betting sports so I only play $20 bucks here...$20 bucks there now. Just for entertainment basically. I also lost about $30 playing some online poker tourneys today.

BTW, I got in at 6:30 am and was up at like 10ish....that is not enough sleep! I have not slept well in the last 3 weeks. I changed shifts, which is a great thing, but have not adjusted yet.

Gotta get ready to go.

2010--the year of hiphop

The year of the hiphop! That is my nickname in case you were wondering. It's a poker thing....you wouldn't understand.....

So it's 2010 and I have not updated on here in like 6 months at least. Oh well. Was not into it. So a few things have changed. I have not seen Willie in over 3 months. I never get downtown anymore. I plan on visiting him soon. We had a bit of a falling out.

I met a girl December 12th and we are now officially dating. Her name is Katie and she's just what I'm looking for. Super sweet and super low maintenance.

Have not played poker that much the last couple of months. I had a monster session here at my home game where I was in for $220 and cashed out $2655. That made Christmas a lot easier. I probably spent over 1k on gifts and crap for myself. I definitely would not have done that had I not won so much. I played last night at Ken's house in Medina. Tournament didn't go so great but cash game was good. I hit a sick sick sick 2 outer on the river to bust a guy for a huge $500 pot. I went with my read and was wrong. Got really lucky and cashed up $355.

I've been sick the last couple days with head cold so that sucks. Also the U-joint on my Blazer busted and the drive train is hanging down. Need to get it fixed but not sure how that's going to happen with all this shitty weather etc. etc. So Katie is coming over in about an hour so I gotta get going.

New Years Resolutions.

1. Start a budget
2. Join the gym with my friends
3. Don't waste money with online poker
4. Travel to at least 4 cities. Las Vegas, Orlando, ?, ?.

That's all I can think of now.

H2 out....

A great weekend

So as I pondered the end of my relationship with Katie, it dawned on me that being angry and wanting to hurt her was just not me. The truth is, we have grown so far a part over the last few months that it doesn't even really hurt. Anyway, that is for another post. I want to talk about my weekend.

Friday morning around 5 am I decide I want to go out and do some good deeds. So I head downtown at 10 am to buy some cigarettes from my friend John Coleman. He runs Cousin's Cigars on Euclid Ave. I did not know this was John's day off but I decided to still buy some cigs. I bought 4 packs of Newports. They were the most expensive ones they had and I figured the homeless would like them. So yeah, my good deed was to offer cigarettes and maybe some money to any pan handler that asked. I decided I would make them a deal. Cigs and money, but they had to take a picture with me. So, it didn't start off to well as it started raining. I decided to drive to Tower City and check out the mall, I hadn't been there for a couple years. I parked and made my way in. I walked the mall for a half hour or so and then decided to go walk the streets around there in search for my homeless guy. The sun was out finally...but there were no panhandlers in site!

I sat down in public square and was people watching. Watching people wait for the bus etc etc. I first struck up a conversation with Curtis. He was dressed up like a college kid. He said he was in town from DC trying to get a job as a manager of Mcdonalds or Golden Corral in Brook Park. He told me how he had been in and out of jail and was determined to do right. We talked for about 20 minutes and I told him what I was out to do. He said he smoked, so I offered him a pack of cigs and he accepted. It was a good conversation and he was a really nice guy. I'll have to check out the Golden Corral in a few weeks to see if he got the job.

So after Curtis got on his bus, a guy sat down next to me. His name was Willie. After about 5 minutes of just bull shitting about the cavs and sports, he mentioned where he slept. In a door way across from some Church on E. 9th st. He never asked me for anything and said he only panhandles when he has to. He is diabetic and if he really needs food because his blood sugar is out of whack then he will ask. We talked for 2 hours as his bus number 23 went by 4 times. He was catching the bus over to Clark because at 3 pm they give away food to the needy. I told him I would take care of him at the end of our conversation, so he didn't have to worry about eating that day. He had so many interesting stories about things he has seen and witnessed on the streets as a homeless man. The 2 hours flew by. He alerted me to why no homeless were around when I was out looking. It was the 1st of the month and they were all spending there ssi checks or welfare on drugs. Not him though. He was definitely not a drug addict and told me how he would not even let the drug addicts stay around him.

So as we walked into Tower City I gave him the cigarettes and $32 for food. He gave me a chinese Yuan that he had for good luck. I told him that as we see each other in the future we will pass it back and forth for good luck. I gave him my name and number and I'm sure I will see him again someday.

So far the lucky Yuan he gave me worked ok.

I played poker at Nautica for 16 hours total this weekend and won over 500 bucks.

Day 1...what's next?

I just want to get this on record. My name is Mike, I'm about to turn 31 years old. I live in Ohio. I had a huge thinking session last night at work. My job is not challenging in any way. I have 8 hours to just think, think, think. So I came up with this idea of blogging my life. I really believe it can help me make the changes I need to make to become a successful person. When you put yourself out there for the world to see, you get a feeling of accountability or something to that effect. Today is May 1st 2009...the beginning of a new life so to speak. Why?

Broke up with girlfriend of 3.5 years, need to move out within a few weeks I would say. So it's back to the single life and having no one to worry about anymore. I can do what I want, when I want. So what do I want?

My starting goals.

1. Become debt free
2. Get in shape. 4 pack abs will do
3. Be a better Uncle, Brother, Son, Friend

So those are some goals I have. I just wanted to get this going and get it on record. I plan on being disgustingly honest about my life and what goes on in it. People are so fake it seems. Everyone projects a persona of what they want to be, but most just aren't what they seem.

So details to follow...for now I have to get going. I don't feel like sitting around another hour on this lap top.
